Yelp's Affect on Health Scores

The City of Evanston, IL began publishing healthscores to Yelp on October 15, 2014. To test the impact of this transparency effort we examine health scores over time. The test works like this: For each business where at least one health inspection has been completed both prior to and after the Yelp launch it is included in the sample. We then compare the final inspection score prior to Yelp to the most recent inspection completed after launch and display the aggregated results below.
